I a couple weeks ago replaced the valve cover gaskets on my 95 mtx. Put it all together and ran like a scalded cat for a day and a half. Took it to work came out 4 hours later and it didnt start. After checking a few things I came to the conclusion fuel was not getting to the engine. I have :

checked connections
checked and replaced fuel pump
replaced ccrm
I have used starting fluid and the engine turns over and runs for a second

After all this the engine seems to be getting some fuel but with no pressure. The engine will cough as though it wants to start but wont turn over under normal conditions.

Are there any other suggestions out there?????????

The two things that give the injectors pressure are the fuel pump AND the regulator that keeps all the fuel backed up so that it doesn't flow freely back to the tank. Take a cheapey tire guage and measure the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the rail. We can go from there.

You could check the inertia switch in the trunk, on the driver's side....it may not be it, but it's simple to check to make sure the button is pushed in.

easy check have someone turn the key on and listen for the fuel pump... if not then check the switch in the truck first as stated, check and or replace ccrm because it has both high and low speed fuel pump relays (if its 89 90 then it will have a ballast at the firewall) if still not start looking for wiring and the plug, you could have broke the plug on the tank which will cause it to come loose.

check for rail pressure for sure tho do all the easy stuff before going balls deep
