95 MTX Heater

Hi , I have a 95 MTX and in the dash somewhere it sounds like a duct door constantly opens and closes ... did some linkage come disconnected or is there a problem with the heater control or what ? It constantly goes clunk-clunk ... clunk-clunk. Anyone else ever get that noise ?
