i have heard that you pull up on the clutch pedal...

if its hard to get into gear, it could be the clutch going out.

clutch is supposed to be new. if i put the pedal all the way to the floor and let the rpms down it will go into gear. I did a search and im hearing the clutch cable can be adjusted but no one seams to tell how to do it. i have tried the trick of pulling the pedal up up nothing happend with that. do they have problems with cables stretching?

have any of these cars ever shifted well in stock form? Seems like no one's mtx shifts perfectly smooth:rofl:

Put some Royal Purple Max ATF in your trans, drain what you have and re-fill with this stuff. Night and day difference on how smooth it makes the shifting feel. My trans has over 200k on my 91 and never felt better.

and my shifter is real tight just where i like it... i have no complaints with my mtx
as long as you remember rev has no syncros and you shift to 5th before rev your all good
