Hi guys (1st post). My dad got T-boned in his 60kmile '95 MANUAL SHO. Car is totaled but he has a line on a '93 AUTO SHO that has high miles and a blown engine (intact).

My question is, is this a conversion that can be easily done? He hopes to keep the manual trans but is willing to use the auto if a conversion is unusually difficult.

Will there be any other issues? Like with electrical (brain, sensors), mounts, etc? He also hopes to swap his interior and suspension.

Thanks guys! Need to know asap so we can buy the '93.

do a search, my young padawan. there are several threads that describe in detail all of what is involved to do what you want, including one I started. it is not for the faint of heart, but fairly straight-forward. the fact that the years are different adds to the complexity but I describe the wiring differences in that thread.

btw, you will not want to put the 3.0 from the mtx car in the atx car with the auto - it will be a dog. you will instead want to convert the atx car to stick.

I would get a line on a SHO with a working engine and tranny in the config you already want. Changing it around is a huge hassle unless you like spending a ton of time and money doing this sort of stuff. Pull the good stuff off the car you have and transfer it to an easier vehicle.
