94 MTX cranks but no start. Fuel pump is operating, newer (within 2 months) CPS and CID. When cranking RPMs are at 500. When I turn the key on the fans also come on which I dont recall that being normal. CCRM? or DIS? Cant seem to pull codes either.

Start by tightening that Knot of ground wires on your passenger firewall under the black cover. Then make sure your engine management wafer on your intake cross over is grounded. Take it off and clean the stud to be sure.
Get a spark plug and see if it is firing while it is cranking over.
What were you doing before this problem started and what is the last thing you have done to the car.

Im not getting spark. Grounds are cleaned and secured, that was the first thing I checked. The last thing I did was took it to Home depot on Saturday, then went to start it up today and no start! I did a full 60k a couple months ago and drove to Michigan and Back putting 4,000 miles on it with no problem. Did not have any signs of a problem before either.

My 94 does the same. FP and fans stay on, but no start. I replaced the computer, and it fixed the problem, but it came back. It will start if you just turn it off, wait, and try it again.

make sure your engine management wafer on your intake cross over is grounded. Take it off and clean the stud to be sure.

what I think he is calling the wafer is the DIS, and he's right, although I don't know how a short drive could effect it, make sure that both (flat) surfaces between the DIS and the crossover are smooth and there isn't anything in between them. also check the ground on the right rear intake mount.

I had a ground problem with my DIS but my fans didn't spin, have you tried pulling codes yet?

not being able to pull codes along with the other symptoms you describe suggests either a pcm problem or a wiring/connector issue near the pcm.

can you swap in a known good pcm to test?
