OK I have a problem that seems to be getting worse.. If you accelerate quickly the car bogs down around 3200 RPM's. This doesn't go away unless you let of the gas. I have not seem to much of a problem with this in first gear. most in 2nd though 4th. But its has taken place in 1st and 5th. just not as much.
I have also seem more of an uneven idle after running RPM's go from 500 to 1500 back and forth.
not sure if the two maybe connected in some way.

Fuel pressure is good though out the RPM band . just replaced the IRCM due to a relay problem to the pump.

I honestly have no idea what it can be, but I am taking a shot in the dark if you happen to have this laying around. Try a different MAF, I know when they go bad they can do some really screwy things, that's the best I have to offer hopefully someone else can help you out more:cool:

Thanks for the post . I'm slowly working out all the bugs in this car.
1) The Ignition switch needs to be replaced ... Doesn't work as it should ( just old ) its a two part switch so I'll do the hole thing if I'm in there.

2) the bog problem......... I haven't given the car a tune up. I was waiting to get all the parts. Plugs, Wires, Coil, Valve Cover Gaskets, Valve Shims, Intake Gaskets, Cam & Crank Sensors, Water Pump ....ext... ext
I would like to resolve the bog problem before getting into all this.

If anyone near me has the chip set for the Snap-On Scanner 2 for the 94 model runs let me know if I could use them or if they have an one to sell.( Small chip that plugs in at the plug on the OBO2 /Span-On plug )

I still looking for pointers into this problem
Thanks Avery

Codes? MAF is my best guess based on symptoms.

Check your coil pack. Before you check that, how do your plug well/plugs themselves look??? I had a similar prob. before, and it turned out somehow water (maybe coolant?) had gotten into 1 of the plug wells! Hope this helps! Keep us posted...there are a few more tricks that may fix your porblem;)

Yes I have a small amount of oil in there.....The round seals on the valve covers are leaking a small amount.

Just unplug the MAF and drive it around for a few minutes. If there is a noticable improvement, you need to either clean or replace the MAF sensor.

x2 on the unplug of MAF. How is your fuel economy? I gave my 95 ATX a tuneup (valve adjustment, new well seals, plugs and wires and it runs like a champ. My fuel economy went from 17 to 23MPG in the city. Didnt help that my 02 sensor wasnt plugged in all the way. If you are using a K&N air filter, there is a change the elements in your MAF are dirty. Check to see if there is any black carbon/oil buildup on them. They should be a grayish white colour when clean.
