do yourself a favor and buy a set of ramps .I got the plastic ones and wish I had spent the money years ago they make everything you have to do under the car easier and the ones I got at checker are slanted so you wont rub the front driving up on them and are lifetime guarateed .and could hold up two sho's they are sturdy and safe and less than twenty bucks it's a no brainer. first jump your starter with a screw driver and if it starts only replace the solenoid if it doe's not start take the two bolts off the starter and it will drop out and remove the cables very easy to do but trying to do it without ramps does not make sence to me as stands have been known to fall and the show is low enough that unless you are very very thin you will not be able to do it and trust me you will use the ramps time and time again .mine are going to help me exchange my y pipe without the cats as soon as they get here
