Have had the car a whole week and so far it has been great. Detaile dit yesterday and today the od light was on. After a few miles of driving it would go out and the car would go into OD then it would come back on. did this the whole way home. Fluid is new and clean. havnt had a chance to pull any codes yet. Any ideas? Not to happy since i just bought the car

Usually these OD problems are caused by the OD servo in the trans, or the wires leading to the switch in the shifter are shorting out. I'd say your problems sound more like the servo.

Ok drove the car all day and had no problems. Leave work tonight and the OD light is on. Start moving and am able to shut it off with the button. Drive about a mile down the road and same thing once again can shut it off with the button and then it was fine the rest of the drive home. Keeps up and I am just going to take it to the dealer even though i don't want to get to diagnosed. So anyone have any ideas?

I have a code reader and a 94 ATX so I am somewhat familiar with them. Let me know if you want me to take a look. I have also flushed a tranny using Pauls method. Works great!

Just open the console and look for the broken wires like was mentioned earlier. Sounds like they're shorting out. It's very easy, and you don't need to pay the stealership to do it.

I will take a look tonight, My biggest enemy is time. I work constantly and with my side detail business it doesnt leave me much time to work on the cars. I usually avoid the dealer if i can. David let me know what you are up to this weekend may see about changing the trans fluid since you have done it using pauls method.
