ok i have got an oil leak im not sure where. i thought it was the oil pan so i took it out and sealed it back up and now it is leaking from the housing by the the crankshaft. i wanted to see if i could get it to stop so i used some rtv silicone and it stoped in that spot and started to come out somewhere else. does anybody on here know where the leak would be coming from.

You'll have to do the same work as if doing a timing belt(which needs to be removed).

The front seal is a common leak area.

From the description, it sounds to me like it may be the oil pump to block seal. Make sure all those 12mm bolts for the oil pump are tight. Especially the ones shared with the tensioner.
