My daughter's 92 SHO dies intermittently while driving. Most of the time she can't restart. Usually by the time I get to the car, 1 to 4 hours later, it starts and runs beautifully. On other occasions I've been able to start it only after several attempts or I've had it towed to the service station only to have it start right up the next morning. I've replaced the battery, the fuel filter, and the CPS on the right side of the motor. Should I replace the battery cables, solenoid, fuel pump, left side CPS, (CRANK or CAM sensor, I get them mixed up), have the fuel injectors cleaned, or what?

Please, please help.

Tim

The solenoid would explain it not wanting to restart. I am in the process of replacing my starter/solenoid on my 93. As far as it just dying I dont know what would cause it to do this. Could be bag plugs/wires or the plug seals could be bad and letting oil into the wells? Good luck.

I would shoot for the cam sensor.

I take it that its not throwing any codes to help you out. Have you ran the codes yet? Chances are that nothing will show up anyway though.

It could be the fuel pump. I know a guy who had the same problem with a car of his. It would die on him and then a few hours later it would start up again. He didn't have a sho but when he replaced the feul pump the problem was fixed.
