92 mtx transmission

What are my option for a replacement transmission. Can I run any ford transmission or a certian mazda one. Or better yet is there as upgraded transmission with better gear ratios and possibly six speeds.

you blew the diff pin im guessing..

well no one has tried anything in the likes of using a different transmission yet... the only real info i can give you is get any 89 - 95 taurus SHO 5 speed since it will match up.... also weld the diff pin at least....

do some experimenting and use a different transmission do what others dont try..

also please change your rod bearings or you will be asking about a engine next...

Nope.
You need an 89-95 Ford Taurus SHO MTX4 Tranny.
The average replacement price right now seems to be $350-$400.

It doesn't sound like he needs a new transmission as much as he wants one. 6 forward gears would be nice but sadly it cannot be. :cry:

Unfortunaly I am not going to be able to post a pic it has been temporary repaired till I can hunt down a new transmission. So I am looking into my option of what will work and if there is anyways that I can upgrade this part no reason to change a part that is not broken unless I have money to blow which is not the case. So I would like to change what I can while I have ae excuse.
