I'm getting only about 22 MPG on my '92 MTX (98,000 miles). I drive about 75% highway with not a lot of revving (really). I hear about folks on the board getting high 20s. Is 22 more typical and all I should expect?
I recently installed the Midwest SHO Hi flo Y-pipe and replaced the O2 sensors at the same time. I'm running a K&N air filter with the stock box. Everything else is pretty much stock. Would a fresh set of plugs/wires maybe help? The car is new to me, but I believe it had it's second 60K about 10,000 miles ago.
I'd really appreciate any additional thoughts or suggestions as to how I might be able to do better.
Thanks.
