90 starts and dies right out,HELP

So here is my story.the car has been fine with no signs of any problems.friday afternoon i start the car,warms up for a bit then i take some friends to their car.about a 30-45 min drive round trip if it matters.no issues.come back,shut the car off and dont come back to it till later on at night to go back out.if it matters at all its been single digit temps lately.so anyway i go outside,start my car up to warm it up,no issues.go inside and come out prob lets say 30 minutes later.the car is idling like its got a nasty set of cams in it and its making weird sounds.so i get in the car and hit the gas,throttle response is pretty much next to nothing and when you try to rev it dies out.starts back up and idles but dies when hitting the gas.so i leave it.come out the next day and it starts but barely starts and dies right out.keeps doing this.i can not get the car to idle now.havent pulled codes yet as its extremely cold out.ANY IDEAS ANYONE????????

Have you tried pulling codes yet? How old is your FPR? It might be a dirty MAF or MAF sensor too, they have a tendency to run like crap if its dirty or if the sensor crapped out. I've done a small search and found a few things it might be. But without knowing if it's throwing codes can't really give an accurate diagnosis.

pulled codes and all i got were the ones i never cleared, 15,21,and 24.thats all.the car will not start at all right now.i dont get it.im lost and this is my daily driver.i need this fixed.

how can i test the dis and the coilpacks? im going to check for spark tmr and put my fuel press gauge on the line even tho i cant have it running since it wont start.

the car has 150k on it.since i got it i have put a new rad in,new driver side axle,new ect,oil change,air filter,blower control module and i believe thats it,not that really any of those are relevant.besides that the car came with tons of documents a receipts for services done.if what your tryin to find out is when the last 60k was done,im not positive.i know either the front crank seal or the cams seals are leaking bc about a month after getting the car i got the good old oil burning off the cat smell but only when layin into it.its been like that for about a month and really the car has ran absolutely perfect.i swapped a dis from my buddies old 93 he had laying around,yesterday but it did nothing.he has an old coil pack too i was thinkin about using.he just has some spare parts bc he got rid of his 93.

If oil is leaking on the cat I would check you timing gear just had that problem on my 91 it was falling on its face with very little throtle response and just yesterday the crank seal went because the key way messed up the timing gear to where it put the timing off and the vibration of the timing gear made the seal go bad 3 weeks before that it was leaking oil on the cat and throtle messed up
