I've got an issue with my SHO that has me a bit stumped.
It is running like crap intermittently,MIL comes on,wideband shows rich and starts running like crap bucking ext.. MIL goes off, clears up and runs normal and this repeats.

I'm getting codes 51 and 19 which show coolant temp sensor and CID fault.
I unplug CID go for a test drive, same issue.
clear codes.
plug CID back in,unplug coolant temp test drive and same issue.

Any ideas?

could be a wiring issue, or a pcm issue.

Tweecer R/T equipt, double checked and cleaned the terminals on both ends for good measure this morning.
@ rubydist I'm also starting to think it could be a PCM issue, very odd symptoms.

start by pulling off the tweecer for a time, and see if that clears it up - then you know its the chip or the connection there. if not, the pcm is suspect.

I doubt it will start with the tweecer unplugged.
@James I'll check those wires in the AM I did have to extend them but I used the SHOnut extender.

And that is why this forum is so great.
I bet it is easier to keep a 90 SHO running, than it is to keep a regular 90 Taurus going.
I would have never bought a SHO if it were not for this forum, an old car with a Yamaha motor and a Mazda manual transmission, that no one knows how to work on.
Hats off to this forum.
