90 mtx oil light at 60mph?

i just sold my 1990 mtx all bone stock with 76k miles they guy took the long way home apparently to i guess test it out ********, anyway he called me bout 15 min after he left and said when he was cruising at 60 mph the oil light came on and it felt like the trans was slipping but i know it wasnt because its got a brand new clutch he just called me again said he shut it off and started it 5 min later and now all the lights on the dash are on. any ideas.

All the lights?? Does it run? Is there enough oil in the pan? Either there is an oiling issue (oil pump, rod bearings) or an electrical one.

If a bearing spins, there will be a greater load on the motor... is he sure its slipping, and not just bogging down? This dosen't sound good...

Yea there's oil He shut it off and started it again and now everything is fine WTF lol

WHats a rev limiter.. lol I don't think I've had one for 10 years now.. does it really shut everything down like that?

ok so now he says it runs ok but when he gets on it up to 5000rpm and goes to shift it boggs out and looses power..........sry guys im just trying to get this guy some answers im thinkin either fuel pump or fuel filter?

Tell him to unhook the battery and hold down the brake pedal for a few seconds. This will reset the computer then go from there . The high speed loss of power is most likely weak spark or fuel system . Maintenance, Maintenance,Maintenance. The newest of theese cars are 16+ years old .
