As the subject says....i am swapping the dash from my friends car which has no EATC into my car which has EATC...

1) I dont want EATC
2) I have all the wiring from the "new" dash still attached and pulled the harness out of the engine bay through the firewall.

Is it simple to do? Couple of questions...

1) Can i use the non EATC harness easily?
2) Does the (heater core enclosure...black case thingamabob)on a EATC car have provisisons for the cable that adjusts the blend door on a non-EATC car?

Again, keep in mind, i am using the whole dash and harness together as a whole.....im assuming it is a plug and play type of thing.

The vehicle is an 89.

Thanks In Advance....i love this list

Your probably headed into "uncharted territory", with this being an '89

With that said, I would have to say that it is more than likely plug-and-play.

I do know that the digital climate control setup for the '89 has a TON of vac lines behind the glove box..... makes for getting to the EEC a bit more tricky.

At least you are swapping the entire dash, so you should avoid a lot of problems.

UPDATE...need some parts

Well, it looks like i can use the existing "heater core box assembly".....

My EATC vehicl (89) has a spot to put the manual blend door cable....now all i need it looks like is the lever which allows this cable to operate the blend door.....my foolish self did not remove it from the parts car.

I hope to god someone has one to sell me....maybe in the NJ area so i can pick it up today....otherwise i will have to remove the dash.....again to do it.....ahhhhhhhh
