89 dash lights

Okay..right side dash bulb keeps going out. No gas gauge and part of the speedo..Have replaced it,am getting real good at pulling the dash apart,it seems that the "ribbon" that is the contact for the bulb is twisted and will not stay in place. Any tricks to keep it in place? Also, if you changed the color of the plastic lens the bulb shines thru could you change your dash light color,ie.blue/green to red?

I've thought about changing the dash color. Still, to have it match, you'd want to change everything else. I was thinking maybe blue or red.
