I’m a head lights kind a guy(wink)my goooddddd…………. Looks phkying fantastic! Clearly a work of passion! If your attention to visual and function is ANY indication to performance. There will be no disappointment. I personally appreciate your level of effort and attention to detail. You, like few, are paving the path for a bdss future for the SHO community. Thank you for keeping me excited in the custom automotive world in a mechanics repair life. (Insert fist into the air here, lol)

Also, they can’t let any domestic outsider win in that kind of show. Doesn’t look good for their show/brand. The fact you left w/ what you did says a lot. You couldn’t be denied. Congrats!

Yeah… you gotta get me one of those grille emblems.
It’s heavy. The base needs to be thinner. He doesn’t do much aluminum work so it’s mild steel. It’s like under 3lbs but over 2 pretty sure but for an emblem it’s like the heaviest emblem. If you want one he has the file saved. Using a thinner base will be easy enough. Letters tac welded on the base and then he can ship directly to BCPRestoration who can do the same powder coat …or if you want different colors he can do that. But he’s got the special tools to do all the lettering (front, sides) in one color and the base in a different color with clean lines. DM me for more info if interested

I rewired the Works Bell paddle shifters and we are in business. Just had so much fun driving out to dinner. Paddles the whole way there and back. Downshifting and hearing the exhaust bark..was like music to my ears. About 50 miles total. Pulled up and parked at our favorite restaurant and a kid asked to take pics of it…absolutely go for it I said. On the way home I drove by an M3, second to latest Gen. I thought oh boy here we go.

Came up on a slow car and long ass hill. I glanced up the hill nobody coming (can see like a half mile). I downshifted into 3rd and gave it just barely less than full throttle. Surprisingly pulled a little hard left when I turned left and a bit hard right when I pulled right to get back in my lane. M3 followed suit but not too close. Hit 90 and slowed down to 60. Limit is 50. Thought for sure the M3 was going to go for a pass. And I knew it wasn’t ready so I was going to let them. But they didn’t they just hung back. Getting a little close only a few times. Maybe the reflective ghost face wrap and wild setup made them check their ego just in case they lose lmfao! At least that’s what I figured for why they didnt.

Back home and all is well. I think we’ve got ourselves a car here. IMG 5513For detuned and just mechanical setup of engine and WG spring it moves with power. It hit 15 psi in that log for Brad to check spring pressure. I think it’s going to deliver. I’m at about 180 miles of break in. Should be dialing in 93 this month. Test at the end of the month is what I’m thinking. We’ll see

The owner of the Worlds Fastest Explorer ST thinks there’s something funny about my car so I’m including smashing their record as one of my goals. 10.3 I think it is. May God help them.

Met up with a friend and his 1150awhp Nissan GTR built by Workhorse Performance. Took pics and went for a cruise. Ran into 2 different cars that took video of me behind them and both waved me on to pass. Like what is wrong with ppl?!?!? Usually nobody WANTS you to pass. I passed the shit out of them hahaha and probably blew their ear drums. It’s so loud. I’m at 260 break in miles complete now. I’m going to predict 10.7 1/4 street on 93 octane only.

A motorcyclist followed us to a restaurant and waited behind my car. Just to tell me he saw it at the Wolfsgart show and how much power does it make. I said I’m just breaking it in but it’s built for around 900awhp. He pointed to Lincoln’s GTR and said that’s 1200….so he knew about it and I said oh yeah pretty much.

The amount of attention on the street is above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced before in this and any car for that matter! Waving me on to pass is definitely new.

I’ve got a slight left front axle retaining clip issue that I’m all for addressing today. It just doesn’t seem to fully seat. It goes in enough that the retaining clip keeps it in, requiring a pry bar to free it to take it out. I can move it freely about 3/16” in and out and even grab the housing and move it around. I checked with Kevin Quinlan and after asking questions about if it’s new OEM or aftermarket, he said try to position the clip facing up towards the top of the transmission. And when new that can be hard to fully seat. I let him know I have the original axle and it’s totally fine just old looking. He said try that one. So I bought some cleaning supplies and cast aluminum paint to clean it up and paint it to look new and try it later today. Decided I better not keep driving it until it’s fixed.

I just tried something new, string method giving myself an alignment. I also have narrowed down the left front axle issue. I grabbed the original I saved and took out the new one, positioned the snap ring, opening facing up and again can see a tiny bit of the metal “shroud” at the end. Pulled it back out. Grabbed a tape measure and stuck it in. About 4” to the middle of the rubber seal. Measured the end of the axle and realized it literally and physically can’t go in any further. Hmmm, ok. Took the original and put that one in. Wiggled it, tried to pull it out. Met with more resistance. Got it out. Hmm ok.

Talked with Kevin and told him I measured and it is going in all the way. The shaft seal looks fine but maybe I need a new seal. I put in the old axle bc it fits more snug. Will check for leak after a drive. He said ok let me know I can order you new seals.

Cleaned up the oxidized ends of the old axle and painted with cast aluminum paint. All fresh and new looking I put it in. Gave myself and alignment and I’m ready for a new test drive. Check my alignment and check for a leak. Only thing left to do is replace the shaft seal but if it’s not leaking…I’ll grab some anyway. To have on hand.

I didn’t wait this long for 2 tenths (10.8). I’m at a place where I’ve accepted my critics. I share content to let someone follow the build, perhaps inspire someone else like how I’ve been inspired by @Jordan_R and @bpd1151 among others in and outside of this platform.

On this path maybe the hardest part isn’t the build itself but it’s dealing with my critics that question my every move and make snide comments and whack prophecies to diminish my progress so they can feel relevant. People who clearly can’t wrap their heads around the scale of this build.

It's not a matter of opinion but a matter of mechanical and physical reality that my car has the potential to run a high 9-second quarter-mile pass and is very likely to be a solid performer in the 9’s. This isn't a "bolt-on" car. I’m not starting from scratch either, I’ve put over 4.5 years on top of an already proven performer. The build list is not an opinion; it is a meticulously engineered recipe for a car that, when properly tuned and driven, will absolutely achieve and likely surpass the performance goals I’ve set.

The car's potential is a reality dictated by the laws of physics and the capabilities of the parts I’ve chosen, not by the opinions of those who don't understand them.

That said I need a new shaft seal lol! Until I’ve got a leak free car I will continue the safe break in. Safety first, gradual increase in performance with an eye on longevity. This will give this car the best possible chance at real success. I’m tempted to skip steps here but I think that’s part of being human. Keeping my eye on the target and let people say whatever they want. I’m coming whether they like it or not.

just shut them out of your head. the problem with social media is keeping peoples ego in check. so they don't speak to you they would never say what they say the way they say it.

it takes a special person who puts themselves out there that ignores the idiots that are trolls. if they were in front of you more than likely never say a thing, or be civil in their pushback.

my suggestion is show them the AI response... they aren't any smarter than AI. ;)

PS I am willing to spend money and sit in the bleachers and watch their faces drop...

Yeah what I like about AI….if you want a non biased, unemotional, 100% objective and factual response, that “person” who tells it straight whether you like it or not…then feed AI your info and get a purely factual answer. The more detailed the better. No sugar coating, no “yes man” mentality. No ego feeding. Blunt factual information. Odds and probability backed from world science and the world internet in about 1 second with step by step explanations. I actually started a convo with it with even more details than I gave you and talked about odds in a bet, probability, confidence levels, etc. It is very eye opening. We tend to feel more hopeful…and superstitious as to feel afraid to fully believe in our success as if that may hinder it, when in all realty, believing is the very foundation for success….for use mere humans LOL!

physics and thermodynamics and other sciences are proven and factual. F those that don't know. you are a custom engine builder, that's why you won't get much push back here in these threads.

Like a couple of others have stated more eloquently than I, **** em.
Staying true to yourself is all that matters.
People who are actually educated know what you have and are working towards.
We here, support you 100%. Take your time with your build. Its yours, nobody else's.

Best my bro.
