hey guys,

I just installed pro-m 75mm Bullet MAF. I put it in, and my car started fine, drove around for about 20miles, and parked at work. 3 hours later, i came out to leave, and my car was completly dead. is it this MAF? the day before i also got the steering, rad, oil, tranny, brake fluid changes. what could have caused this???

Sorry, but wheni said "dead" I mean turns over, but won't start. the battery is fine, but i'm wonering if the sensors, computer, bla, bla, bla, somehow didn't like this new MAF, and decided to shut down? close or way off?

Does the tach move when its trying to start? Sounds like a coincidence to me.

Dead means DEAD. Be specific in listing symptoms.

Unplug the MAF. The engine should still start without the MAF. If will run like crap and will give a CEL, but it will run.

You will need to determine if it's a fuel delivery problem or an ignition problem.

Turn key to on and listen for fuel pump to whine for about 2 seconds. Start there.

The easy way to test the MAF is unplug it.The car will run smoothly with the MAF unplugged(but will throw a CE light). If it still won`t start, the MAF isn`t the problem.
