I have a 73 mm MAF, from what I've "heard" from a few people is it doesn't need a computer tune to run on my car...some say it does, I'd like to put it on, or not, and put this to rest...do I need a tweeker to run my car with this part that is collecting dust on my shelf...thanks!!

Your not supposed to need to tune the car but. In experience its been a crap shot. Some cars it works as good at the stock unit other cars its a POS.

Thanks, I did have it in for about 10 minutes, and the car seemed to love it alot, was a little quicker than stock, then the "you need a tune" came up and it was removed quicker than installed, I dont need the motor to pop...without a tune i was told this can happen...maybe I'll put it back on and roll with it!

It may be fine, but I would get an a/f ration with it in before I ran it for any length of time. If you don't have a wide band you could always goto the dyno and do a before and after. Alot of dynos have ways to read the a/f during a pull.
