gas milage is about 250/tank right now.. around 20 bucks a tank , 1.50 a gallon, that's roughly 17.8 miles/gallon, hoping a 60k could help this, plus oil consumption/leakage into plugs isn't great

Click the 'search' link on the upper right corner of your screen and type '60k' as the search term. You can also view the forum FAQ's as well as http://www.shotimes.com for more information on the 60k. Everything you need to know is just a few clicks away! :)

If you are confident to do the work yourself, a full 60K should only cost you about $400. That includes timing belt, water pump, cps, front main, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs and wires, and a valve adjustment. Check out my post under "I need a SHO mechanic for timing change?" It should help to clear up any questions.

IF you can perform your own service, Then a 60K will cost maybe 400-500. I'd then recommend rockauto.com as a good parts supplier.

If you have to pay a mechanic to do the 60k for you, get ready to lop off your left... eek!

I think you get the idea.

Where in Jersey are you?

I know this has probaly been covered but i didn't see it. My brother has a 93 sho automatic with 74,000 miles on it. We are having a hard time finding anybody to work on a sho in my town. But I figure changing the timing and serpentine could be done can any ford dealer do the timing belt? Also how do you tell if the valve lash needs to be adjusted? One thing I noticed I was driving a coupla the other day and the first few times I floored it (sweet by the way) there was a descent amount of black smoke from my view shooting out the back. then it seemed less and less afterward. Would this be due to plugs or timing most likely? I am gonna change plugs anyway the car has no mods what type of plugs are recommended (normal ford ones)?

performancered from my hometown! Good luck finding someone to work on it there. There isn't even a Lexus dealer in the area.
For the plugs get the agsp32pp motorcraft plugs. For Ford dealer parts buy from http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com or http://www.fordpartsonline.com for the best prices.

Timing belt recommended service is 100k for ATX cars. Valve lash can only be checked with the valve covers off with a feeler gauge.

Sorry can't help you there. Check with Dan Barbush from Pitt. or there are a few Cleveland guys. You know who's good but a little far is Sho Nut, I think he's in Ontario. My suggestion is get familiar with your car for the maintenance stuff. I'll ask around.
