I am approaching 60K miles on my SHO, and learned that it will be costing me $355 for the tune up at the Ford dealership, on top of the $180 they want for the changing of my plugs. Is there anyone in the NH area that knows of someplace that will do it for less?
Please let me know

Plugs should be had for less than $4 each. The tune up really isn't that hard. 2 hours work or so.

I thought the Gen.3 was fine until 100K...

That's what Ford says. Typically the plugs are a bit worn at 60k and the wiring for the back coils should be looked at as heat is a problem. This, of course, is if you don't already have coil problems. And it is a good idea to keep the intake clean before it carbons up the IRM.

personally, I'd actually say to take it to the dealer. My buddy just bought his 99 from Autofair in Manchester and we were talking to the GM. Their SHO mechanic there made a V8 SHO wagon (the silver Gen III w/NH plates) that was at one of the past conventions.
