I have a few front 60k questions.
My 3.2 in my SHO was put in 14k miles ago, and it was serviced by FPS 30k-40k miles before that. So by my calculations, it has been about 45k-55k miles since that service was done.
The SHO is not running bad by any means, but as stated in a different thread, my cam seals are leaking, these were not replaced b/c of that service that had been done to the engine, nor the front main either, b/c of that FPS service that was done.
In speaking to the previous owner of my SHO yesterday, he stated that he had completed a front 60k on the 3.0, then threw a rod through the pan a few thousand miles after that 60k was completed. He transfered over the crank sensor, cam sensor, timing belt and water pump to this engine, they may have even been purchased at the time of the 3.0 to 3.2 swap, I need to go verify the receipts he gave me, and try to match some dates to pictures.
To explain all of that to get to this, here are my questions,
1. If I reuse the water pump (15k miles old), can I just change all the gaskets, and be fine for another 60k miles?
2. Is it possible for the cam sensor, crank sensor, and timing belt to last another 60k miles before needing to be changed? These all only have about 15k miles on them, maybe a little more than that.
If all of that above can be reused, then all I SHOULD have to get is rod-bearings, front main, and cam seals. Does that sound about right? I am just checking all of this, b/c I know once I go in and replace seals only, I don't want to have something fail SOON after I get done replacing those seals, and it was something that should have been replaced while I was in there. Money is extremely tight, and don't have much to play with right now, basically bills, gas, and food.
