I bought my '92 Black SHO the Tuesday before Christmas with 206k on it. I got the previous owner's number from some receipts in the glove box and called him up. He says he never did the 60k on the car. He changed the plugs and wires a couple times, but never the timing belt. At this point, I'm really scared of getting stranded somewhere. Anyway, how much should I expect to pay for a shop to do a complete 60k? I usually do my own work, but don't have the time right now to tackle this project. I hate seeing my baby under someone else's wrench.

Thanks,
Eddie

i checked 3 years ago at a ford dealership and they quoted me $1500 in labour...give or take a couple hundred...as far as part are it will cost about $1500 to do everything...Timing belt, water pump, Crank position sensor,Main crank seal, cam position sensor, 3 cam seals. I think thats it. Oh if you do the top as well you will need upper gaskets which includes valve cover gaskets and 6 plug well seals, spark plug wires, and plugs. the intake gaskets should be reusable but always use high temp. RTV gasket sealer. I hope that helpes. Good Luck!

Bruce Malachuk does work on SHO's. He's near Albany, NY. He used to post; may not any longer. He sells SHO parts over e-bay as bmalach and you should be able contact him through ebay.
