60K done on my 89

Finished the top half of my 60k on my 89 I bought in December. Found 11 valves out of spec which suprised me considering it has 63,000 and I'm the second owner.(My 94 had only 3 out of spec at 95,000.) The cam lobe on cylinder one showed some pitting which was disappointing but it was the only one. Car ran good before but seems even smoother now. Time to rest up for the timing belt in July. Once again, thanks to Josh at SHONUT for the shim rental, FPN for the plugs/wires and Mark for his great video which I watched again for a refresher.

Good to hear...will be doing it soon I hope to my 89. Gonna take a little trip to Ohio and do my 60K w/Justin (Foxwulf) I'm going to try to do the lower 60K as well...might as well. I dread the waterpump/CPS more than anything else. Stupid engine...all jammed together Knuckle busting fun! Maybe this time I will have an extension! (last time I didn't when I did my waterpump, ouch)
