60-80 in 3rd gear.

It seems like my car is slower than it should be.
How long does it take from 60 to 80 in 3rd gear for gen1?

5-6 seconds when starting in another gear.
Its a little quicker when you are in 3rd at 60. Just depends if you are rolling in 3rd or not.

Believe it or not, I ask my friends all the time if my fast show feels right. You just get used to it. Then when I get in a civic or something, I have to floor it everywhere and it still doesn't feel right.

yes third gear is not going to pull as hard as 1st or 2nd and i dont know how quick sho's can run 60-80 i bet not much quicker stock

you think my clutch could be going out it dont slip but i dont think it has ever been replaced

if you want a fairly accurate test of it (or at least 70-75 mph to about 90-95 mph), go to the drags. The MTX SHO basically runs the last 1/8th in 3rd gear. You are basically snatching 3rd right at the 1/8 in a stock/mostly stock car. Good way to measure time to distance, and time to speed during the last 1/8th.

Good rule of thumb, a MTX SHO will pick up about 20 mph in the last 1/8th and should do it in about 5 secs flat, give or take a few tenths.
