I just bought pads and rotors and the bottom of the rayebestos 598 pads make contact with where the rotor mounts on the wheel studs. I compared the ford pads and these rayebestos one and the ford pads are a little bit shorter, which is why they don't rub. Any reason why this would be happening? The rotors look the same size as the stock ones too. Any help would be great. Thanks

598 pads are for the 96 upgrade. If your still running the original brakes you need 601's.

What he said. The stock 95 rotors don't have enough area to support the taller 598 pad. You need the shorter 601 if you have stock rotors.

Or you can get the brackets and rotors to do the 96 upgrade and use the 598 pads.

yup...Thats was the problem. For some reason the computer listed the 598s as the sho pad and the 601'a as the regualr taurus' pads. I compared the 2 pads and realized that I needed the 601s b/c they're shorter in height. For the 96 upgrade, all you need is the 96 mounting brackets and 598 pads (you can use the same 95' rotors?) The 95 caliper works with the 96 mounting bracket? Thanks

With the 94-95 for the 96 upgrade, You need 96-99 SHO caliper brackets, 96-99 11.6" rotors, and 598 pads. Your old calipers will work in the 96-99 caliper brackets.
