Is there a way to measure without a jig to weld the trans mount on a 3rd gen subframe swap? I am putting a 99-2000 subframe on a 1993 5sp. I know where to drill for the front motor mount but placement of the trans mount I wasn't prepared for. I searched but everyone recommends a jig or having it done at a sho shop. I live in Greenville SC so if someone close has one I could borrow or copy I could go that route to but measuring would be good too. Thanks. I will be doing this on my 1995 automatic too didn't know if a separate jig would be needed or if just the motor mount is needed.

I have a jig for the mtx that I will send you for the cost of shipping, but its kind of clumsy shaped so shipping will be expensive.

I thought that the atx mounting location was the same on the Gen3 subframe as on the Gen2, but I never converted one of those so I'm not sure.

pm me if interested.

The auto mount location would be the same. You could get the front mount drilled, and cut the trans mount off of the old subframe, and bolt it in place on the transmission - then raise the new subframe into place and tack the mount in where it hits.
