After a few weekends of side work and juggling family matters I have purchased a printer and I should have it by the end of the week. Im hoping to have some proofs in a couple weeks that i will post here with a link to the gauging interest thread where I will post forum prices along with contact information, barring any unforeseen issues I should be able to start taking orders by the end of the month. **MODERATORS: Please message me if there is a specific way you want me to handle this**

Can you 3d print a piece that can go over the key hole in the door handle. So pointless and random but I neeeed the complete black out for shows LOL.

We're almost there, I have been printing prototypes and working on designs, the only one left is the gauge pod which I hope to print this weekend since its a long print. I will be offering other designs and parts and will be available to work with anyone on prototyping ideas. I should have a list of what's available to order by the end of the weekend, if anyone has any requests or ideas PM me and Ill see about getting your design in queue for prototyping.

After several hours of design and several hours of printing I am 95% there on the gauge pod. There is a clearence issue I have to work out along the back where the pod meets the dash but here she is


It's still in rough form, once I have the fitment issue resolved I'll post detailed pictures. I hope to have this ready to order this time next week. For now, I have a few other models ready to order:

Currently it's about 14 hours, but it can take up to 24 hours depending on definition and supports

After 2 more prototypes I finally have the pod sitting in the mounting holes, I have a couple more tweaks to make before it's officially done but it's close. I'm excited to show everyone a finished product and move on to the next several concepts I've put off to focus on this.

Creality K1, its been great especially for just starting out, the added speed lets me run off prototypes within a few hours so I can make adjustments. summer is my busy season at work plus an abnormally busy home life so progress has been slower than expected but im hoping to make my last adjustment and prototype this week to print a useable model this weekend.

Awesome! I heard those were good, especially the newer ones with the updated hot end. I have a Bambu Labs P1S, so pretty much the same thing, easy to use and fast! I use it for my TPU, ASA, and Nylon-CF parts.

If you would like a hand with printing prototypes and checking fitment on my car I'd be happy to assist, especially if you wanted to do large format (36cm cubed) or multi-material parts.

What I typically do when prototyping is break the model into sections that have critical fitment. I then print out only one section, such as the mounting base, and do my test fit and adjustments. That drastically cuts down on print time and filament waste.

Yessir after I test fit the gauges in the upper section I cut the pod down to only work with the base that meets the car and made adjustments for the speaker location and tabs. Once that fit I only printed tabs, went from 14 hours to 3 and a half hours to 10 minutes lol. Doing a final base test today. Definitely solid advice though from a time and material standpoint. I have used almost a whole spool on this project

Full-print prototype complete, fits in the car, even reproduced the factory clips so the ones from the speaker cover won't have to be reused. However the next segment is uncharted to me, finishing plastic. It unfortunately did not survive the sanding phase so I am printing another one with some adjustments to the process as well as adjustments to how I'll be finishing it. Fit and function are done, now for form.

I thought it would be fitting to post an update for those still wanting the gauge pod or any other parts. I have had to take some time away from design along with other things to tend to family needs, not to pour my heart out but I lost my mother at the end of July. My family has been working to settle her affairs while grieving and continuing our own lives as well. I have been able to put some time into design here and there but progress has been slow.

The gauge pod had a defect in a sidewall that for what ever reason I could not resolve so I had to tear down and rebuild it, I now have a promising prototype that I plan to print in the next couple weeks.

the key blank plate has been prototyped and fits in the key hole but needs some tweaking to sit flush.

other members have requested some choice accessories that have made it final production and have come out very nice.

The gauge pod has been a labor of love and is taking far longer than I could expect but I am still working at it. if anyone has any needs or ideas the offer is still open to contact me and we can collaborate to make what ever you come up with.

I'm excited to turn out some really cool parts, hopefully soon Ill have this gauge pod ready to go.
