Well I put my car on the dyno today, its too bad the weather sucked, It was raining 24 deg c with 94% Humidly. The people had a hard time getting the car to run true on the dyno so by the time we got to run it it was heat soaked so bad I couldn't touch the intake. And ECT was over 200. With better conditions and non heat soak I am sure the numbers will be better.

Well here is the result.
Dyno24June

I used a 256/.82 and 221/.82 to get the Crank HP numbers.

I am very happy with the low end TQ. I left the cam timing alone today. I can adjust the cams to make more peak HP but it takes a loss of TQ. So I am happy with the balance I have now.

Awesome numbers. It's always nice to have conformation that all your hard work was worth it.

Been a long time but... isn't the real potential of the engine the area underneath the torque curve, or the integral of torque over RPM... or is the arc of Copernicus, where's Michelle when I need her...:angelnot:

Marcel, care to share your secrets... or is that a "search for it" question...

There is really no secret on this, I figure the high comp is keeping the low end up. And the the shiny intake is helping it breathe. Its all listed in the sig.

Awesome! The one time we had the Pumpkin on a (Mustang) dyno it made 208 ft-lbs wheel torque (stock), but with the stock intake it couldn't keep it up at high rpm to make any peak power, which topped out at 188 whp. For our rule set it was awesome because our weight-to-power limits were based on peak hp. ;)

It looks like the intake and cams are just keeping the beefy torque sustained longer, which will make it pretty damned fast and fun to drive, too. ;)
