I have read all the posts and know that I can save the money and use the 3.0 wires on my 3.2. But, their has to be a reason that the wires are different, right. If their wasn't a significant reason they would just have one set of wires. So, my question is : Why is their such a big difference in price, and if I can use both why do they have two?

The 3.2L wires are longer, so you'll need to use them on your ATX. If you use the 3.0L wires, they will not work properly.

The 3.0L's wires fit just fine on the 3.2L. The difference is in the additional length of the rear bank wires to reach the coil pack that is moved forward and tilted compared to the location on the 3.0L engine. There is another topic active today (11/21) that discussed this subject. Try the search feature.

I have found the quality of the wires for the 3.0L to be somewhat higher than that for the 3.2L wires. The wires for the 3.0L have the cylinder number on each conductor so there is no question which cylinder to install them on. I have also found the plug boots to be installed on the wires such that the seals are not firmly in contact with the top of the valve covers.

Bottom line is that the 3.0L wires fit the 3.2L without any problems or compromises.

ATX owner here. I replaced my plug wires with wires for a 3.0 recently and experienced no fit problems.

Me too!!! Mine were installed my a Ford Dealership mechanic and after inspecting both sets we went ahead with the 3.0 wires. That was well over a year ago without any problems whatsoever.
Just do it!!!

I used 3.0 wires as well. They fit/work fine. Only two on the rear bank were shorter but still reached ok. You just have to be smart about how you run them.
