3.2 heads on a 3.0

Does anyone know if heads from a 3.2 will work on a 3.0? I know there are differences in the engines other than the displacement so I'm not sure.

Yup, you just have to grind off the ATX alternator mounting boss from the 3.2L front head. The rear head is a straight-swap. The 3.2L cams are 'de-tuned' from the 3.0L cams, so you'd probably want to swap the cams too.

No i mean the 3.2 heads on a 3.0 with 3.0 cams.

no, 3.2L and 3.0L heads have the same combustion chamber volume. no gain to be had

Thanks, I was wondering because I might be able to get a set of low miles 3.2 heads cheap and my SHO is looking like it needs new valve seals, this would be cheaper than trying to rebuild the current heads.

You have to cut and modify the front head 3.2 head to fit. The valves are the same size so no gain there.

I would search for some 3.0 heads.
