I have been trying to determine whether my engine and tranny mounts are still in good condition. The engine moves forward quite a bit and backwards a little, but underneath, I can't visually identify any problems to the mounts.

Is the engine moving normally, knowing that the motor mounts are simply the standard replacements for the 3.2?

What ever came from the idea of reinforced mounts for the 3.2?

Thanks for the help!

Not sure if this helps or not, but when I replaced my motor mounts I actually ended up taking my car right back thinking they were broken or faulty... They were fine. I was told that if you put it in drive or reverse and hold the foot on the brake giving it some gas, it is normal to witness the engine move up a bit in the front and back. I think you're ok...

It will move a lil bit, usually if a mount is broken youll start to get shiny spots on the intake, its from the engine rubbing on the hood mat.
