3.2 - 3.0 swap

I know this sounds rediculous to go backwards. but I recently aquired a 93 atx great body fully loaded-bad motor though. But what came with it was a brand new 91 crate motor 0 miles manifolds injectors sensors. and i want to install this motor.I am looking for info about headaches ,can do cant do or what i have to do .any info greatly appreciated

It's not a direct drop-in. The wiring harnesses and motor mounts/accessory brackets differ between the MTX and ATX so that it's quite a bit of work to try to interchange them.

Hello Robert, welcome to SHOforum!

In addition to the aforementioned, as nice as the zero mile engine sounds, I'd think that after sitting dormant for so many years you'd end up tearing it down to replace any seals/gaskets that've gone bad as well as removing surface rust etc.

It may be cheaper and more time effective to repair the 3.2, sell the 3.0 to defray the repair/rebuild costs.

have all mounting brackets. since have to break new motor down to inspect would it make sense to use those brand new heads and cams. then have lower end done on the block.what other goodies should i use off this new motor?
