I'm looking for a oil pan to weld a fitting into for a supercharger project and hopefully save some money over the shosource one. If anybody has one let me know.

I got one so this thread can be removed.
I'm not going to post a build thread since I'm almost done anyway and I'm not really doing anything that hasn't been done before. I may post up some pictures when it's done though. Hopefully that will be in the next couple weeks. Thanks to everyone that replied. This forum is awesome.

Welding a pan with years of contaminated oil is a waste, it will not last long before it leaks. Better to put a bulkhead fitting. Summit and Jegs sell brass, aluminum and steel ones to fit your needs.

I have had mine for a few years now with no leaks. It just takes a LOT of cleaning.

Bulk head fittings can also loosen up as well.

I was worried about it loosening up if I have to take my line off for some reason since I'm using braided AN lines on everything. That's why I'm planning to go welded. I don't want to go try to break my line loose one day and have the fitting come loose. I already have an aluminum bulkhead fitting to go into the pan. I'm planning to drill the pan and put the fitting in then just put a bead around the fitting on the outside of the pan. That will keep it from ever spinning and I think it should seal fine. I might still put the gasket and nut on the inside to insure it doesn't leak through the weld. We'll see how well it seals once I get it put together. What did you do to clean your pan before welding loudsho?
