3.0 ATX?? It's a silly question but please confirm

Okay I'm pretty sure it will but will a 89 3.0 SHO motor bolt up to a 94 ATX trans? I'm figureing yes as the MTX bolts to the 3.2 but just want to be sure.

It will but you will have to change things, pretty much the same things as in a MTX 3.2 swap. You will loose a lot of TQ by doing the BTW.

I'm guessing the ATX needs a new motor and the only one available is a 3.0 :|

The front head is unique to the 3.2 ATX setup.

There are two bellhousing to oil pan bolts, the locations differ a bit between the 3.0 and 3.2 Also the oil pan is shaped different as the Y pipe takes a slightly different route under each engine.
One of the exhaust manifolds is different, which ties in with the Y pipe being different.
