it's just about time for me to replace my tires.. would it be at all possible to stick 245 size tires with a aspect ratio of no less than 45 on a sagging stock suspension 1 gen taurus.. i am willing to shave some of the lip off the rear fenders in order to get them on.. any info is appreciated..

I have seen a gen I with 245/45-17's on TSW EVO's. The rear fender required the lips rolled.

I run 235/45R17 on my street wheels (17x7.5 40mm) and 225/50R16 on my track wheels (16x7.5 35mm).

Edit for wheels info.

Not on 6" wide basketweaves. Got wheels? Even then, a 245mm section width would require a significant amount of fender trimming.

225-45/17" on a 7.5" rim with 40mm backspacing.

Lowered 3"
There is less than 1 inch clearnace on the rear fenders and occasioanally the fronts will rub.

You may get away with it if you had 38 mm backspacing but it sure would be close.

38mm offset will put the tire closer to the fender than 40mm, not farther away.
