I am starting to look to trade-in my 2013 PP and would prefer to save the cash for a last year's model and get the 2017.

Are there any differences between the 2017 and 2018?

Not that I've heard of, except the lack of contour seat availability.

The massage seats - they're called "multi contour" seats. https://owner.ford.com/content/ford...ts/multicontour-seats-with-active-motion.html

I think that truly is the only difference. They aren't available in the 2018's. The idea is that they inflate/deflate the lumbar supports and move something in the seat itself to keep your legs from falling asleep on long drives. I tried them out, but never really used them in my 2013, so when I ordered by 2016 I didn't bother. Turned out production had stopped for the time being so I got a dealer-lot Taurus from Upstate NY that had them anyway. ;)

"multi contour"
At the risk of incurring the wrath of those of you much smarter then me, Are we sure "Contour" means massage and not the fake-suede" inserts also known as multi-color seats. Just asking because that is what I thought the word meant.
Also for the record I use mine all they time, its very helpful on long rides since I have all kinds of back issues also sometimes I crank up the heat an turn on the massage an that's even better.

Nope two different things. Multi-contour seats are indeed the massage function. It' called this for to the multiple ways it can contour to your body.

The continental takes this function and steps it up like 5 notches. You can spend a half hour setting up your seat, just to forget to save it and start again....

You can get the multi color seats without the multi contour I belive.

That makes since, I never thought of it that way. Thank you for correcting my mistake.
I believe 2016 was the last year the Multi-Contour Seats were available.
That is a shame, I really like mine a lot, BUT don't matter much since I won't be buying a new one anytime soon, the one I have now is still not exactly right.
