I made several price inquiries on a new SHO. One sales woman in Tennessee accused me of dodging her phone calls as soon as I had a chance to call her back. I couldn’t believe the nerve. I told her she could shove the car.

I like to do my car buying online and negotiate by email. It limits the game playing when it’s all in writing. I at least would like price quotes online when I ask for them. When we bought my wife’s Flex last year only one dealer was willing to price by email, and we bought the car from them. Not one of the seven dealers I solicited prices from on a new SHO actually sent me a price—not one. I was using their internet price request links too. Lol. All it ever did was trigger constant phone calls.

I'm currently experiencing that problem right now.

The funny thing is that your SHO will outrun all but a handful of the cars on that Lexus dealer's lot. Yet sold for significantly less than the average MSRP on that lot.

I think it was the cheapest car on the lot by a factor of about 2. Lol. I looked at a few of the Lexus models while waiting for the business manager to finish paperwork, and I didn’t really care for them much. They had a 2014 Audi RS7 I could have gone for though.

I am absolutely loving the SHO. I thinks it’s the best car I’ve ever driven. I have owned faster cars, but I’ve never had one that achieved its speed so effortlessly.

To me, when driving, mine reminds me of the big powerful v8 but not flashy sedans of the 6os and 70s but with updated technology . So easy to get up to 80.

Good luck on the new car tech 10002, she looks beautiful. Prices will vary in different parts of the country. I am in NY and I expect my price may be a little higher than say Ohio. I saw 2018 SHO listed for $48k. I also saw some 2018 non-SHO cars going for as little as $32k. I paid $27k for my 2015 SHO / PP with only 10k miles. I could have had the same car 2016 with 16k miles but no PP for that same price. Bottom line, if you can afford the car and it is what you want, price is just a number.
