2013 SHO rear turbo seepage

From what I see the drain is seeping. Not too bad, but it is. The oil on the cold side housing, I will bet is coming from that as well. It is just following the path of least resistance.

I agree there is a leak, as a drip is a leak. I disagree it's the drain. There should be no pressure on the drain tube unless there is a problem.

The reason I disagree is the old should follow the drain tube and drip off of it. It is not, its dripping off the compressor housing. If the oil feed was leaking, it may be posible that the oil to follow the housing and not the drain tube.

I would be curious what the top of that turbo looks like.

Okay, I'll try to find some time and help to get some pictures of the top of the turbo. I would assume this would require taking it out?

Replace the drain tube and gasket. Try another shop, maybe a Lincoln dealer as was previously suggested. Try not to stress about it. Its a small repair. You just need some more competent people on the case.

I still have to replace mine. Same deal as yours. My sho isn't my daily though.

You should be able to get an inspection camera into that spot and see what's going on without removing/disasembelimg anything.

Or just feel up there and see if its wet.

Another option is to look from the top with the engine appearance cover removed. I dont know if you can see it from the top off the top of my head.

It is an aftermarket warranty, and I was planning on calling them but I first wanted to see how much information I could gather prior to calling them. Thanks though,

" Some " of those " outa box " extended warranty programs " DON'T " cover turbo, seals,gasketts,what not.

" RARE" few that do! Be careful what you purchase. I'm not trying to stereotype here. It's because I MYSELF almost bought one!(however late now you got one)

3k or so down to cover 5 k work of work! So many miles too!

They should of gave you all fine print on extended warranty.

I definitely would seek a manger/ supervisor in the department of extended warranty!

I bailed at last second because I spent already too much on car!
