Hello all - first post, looking for some help. I'm experiencing a shudder/clunking when I go WOT at a stop or slow rolling start. Anything less than WOT or at a higher rolling speed is fine. I've tried it with various traction modes with the same results. At first I thought it was a shifting issue but I think it's happening throughout the RPM ranges so my next guess was there's some issue when it tries to deliver power to the real wheels. Sorry if this is somewhat vague, new owner just trying to learn the car. No mods.

Three things to check first:
a) PTU - possibly leaking, from vent, from trans-PTU seal, PTU-axle seal or PTU-driveshaft seal. Fluid may even be too low.
b) Transmission fluid level/condition
c) Passenger halfshaft - recall for rollaway concerns

If your SHO is tuned, launching with suboptimal tires/tirepressures/street surface conditions could be in play as well.

How many miles are on it? Might be worth a quick tune-up by changing the plugs, cleaning the MAF sensor and boost sensors.

Does the clunking take place after it shifts? Or right before it shifts?

Welcome and congrats!

Definitely check that right-side half-shaft. My 2013 had the missing/broken retaining ring, and the inner CV started to come out from the transmission. It was especially noticeable at very low speeds and during left turns like pulling out of a stop sign.

67k miles. I'm going to try to take a few videos of it but the clunking is happening more often after shifts I believe. It happens mid-rev between shifts too.

Turns out transmission fluid was low. I had to add just over 2 quarts but everything is running quite smooth now. I wonder how long that has been going on, I've only put about 30 miles on the car since I bought it so hopefully no damage has been done. I also replaced the air filter and will probably be doing other recommended services here. I did see some signs of leak on the right hand side of the engine and my serpentine belt has seen better days. Any idea what that leak might be?

Simple fixes are best LOL.

Sorry no idea as to the leak. Could be front cover, motor mount, control arm bushing, ptu-axle seal ... Thats what I would look for on the right side.
