Its ok - TBH - sounds like they are having a difficult time - not familiar with the particular issue you might be experiencing - there are complicated layers of 'other' things they have worked on complicating my specific reply. I believe that someone asked if they were practicing on the car - but it can be possible that they dont have a master mechanic that understands the platform or issues.

That error P0016 in AllData says the following:

As you will see it is complicated - my fear in the end - a bad shop is going to chase all the issues, when in fact there are exact steps - are they truly "diagnosing" or guessing and chasing a buck?

I am including the PinPoint testing procedures....

Mine was doing the same thing off and on for a few years. There is some Internet buzz regarding the wiring harness to the sensor. After replacing the sensor a few times, Ford finally replaced the harness (as the sensor was still under warranty) and boom shakalaka, problem solved.
