I’m going through a water pump/timing job and I have the famous start up phaser rattle so I decided to replace all cam phasers at the same time. I have a ‘17 and according to dealer after running my VIN exhaust cam phasers are the same so I just buy 2 but intake phasers have two different part numbers.

Has anyone gone through this before? According to many youtube videos the updated cam phaser numbers are:
Intake: ML3Z-6256-A
Exhaust: ML3Z-6C525-A
You just buy two of each and install.

If our parts are the same as all Ecoboost engines it’s supposed to be the parts above. Can anyone confirm the part numbers for our SHOs?
Dealer has one intake phaser out of stock and told me the part numbers I provided are for an Expedition.

Thank you all in advance.

There are only two phasers on the SHO engine. Intake only.

I believe these are the current part numbers:

Left - BA5Z-6A257-D

Right - BA5Z-6A257-E

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong on the part numbers.

AFAIK, the ML3Z parts are for the dual chain RWD engine which has four phasers. However, the intake phasers may be an update to the BA5Z parts. Your dealer should know.

Yes, those are the part numbers that showed up at dealer. Thank you.
