Soooooo I bought a used 2013 non pp from a local dealer around September 2014 and was aware of the half shaft recall. It was a demo. At time of purchase, I notice the driver keypad was peeling loose from the top of the door. Informed my salesman who referred me to the service department to see when they would be able to fit me in schedule wise and this also gave me a chance to mention the half shaft recall. We found a day which was about a week later, so i took delivery of my awesome vehicle. I drove it home seeing what she do on the open road only to be let down by heavy pulsation while braking. I called my salesman the next day and complained about the issue. He said no problem, we will take care of it when you bring it in for the door panel. So the time comes to bring it back to the dealer a week later for service. I meet with the service manager who writes up the vehicle and I mention again about the recalled half shaft. He says ok we will take care of it. I forgot to mention I purchased that ford warranty that covers certain things for up to about 100,000 miles. Thank god for that. He got me a rental and I was without my car for about a week because it turns out the door panel had to be ordered. The body shop actually fixed that and not the service department. Brakes came back ok as well and I found this out by braking while cornering at a pretty good speed. Corners well for a nose heavy car. Well I'm driving my car to work one morning on the local highway I felt a vibration under accelartion. I couldn't get her past 65mph and it felt like the road had wavy bumps in it. I got over thinking the lane was damaged from all the heavy semi truck traffic and tried to accelarte again this time I heard a boom like my tire popped. I pull over to inspect and all looks good. It's dark outside but I try to see if I hit anything on the road. Nope car is good. I try to ge the car back up to freeway speeds which is always fun but it goes nowhere and my speedometer goes haywire. Something is broke went right into my head. Called a tow truck and they got me back to a local dealer. They inspect and indeed it's the half shaft on the passenger side. I tell this current dealer about my service interaction a pt the dealer I purchased the vehicle from and he says nothing is on file. I leave the car with the dealer and they get me a rental, again thank god for that ford warranty I purchased. He calls a day later and says the half shaft has to ordered and would take a while. A few days go by and my service advisor doesn't call so I call them. I can tell he doesn't want to tell me the news on my car. He says the half shaft is repaired but we noticed an oil leak. It was from one of the turbos. Turns out the dealer I bought the car from replaced a turbo but left a cap on it. So again I wait for the turbo to get in stock. It's been two weeks already. I'm losing faith in ford motor company. I've owned a 95 Ford Mustang GT 5.0, a 2002 Ford Explorer that was apart of that huge tire recall, a 2008 Ford Taurus limited that I put 215,000 miles on with no problems, and this Ford Sho Ecoboost that I haven't even got to know yet. Guess it's time to start considering foreign.
