SHO starts at $39,200, loaded is a smidge over $46k

Looks like packaging is similar from 2010-12's. 401A includes rear heated seats, sunshade, BLIS.

New color too, Green Gem.

A little curious but does anyone know if the torque vectoring AWD system is a Haldex unit, and if so is it the same one found in the 9-3 Turbo X and S60 T6 R Design? That's supposed to be a really good system for performance, and since the SHO is about the same price I would think they could afford to offer it, though they probably went with the same system in the regular Taurus..

Yeah I noticed that, replaced with Mayan Gray....you'd think that'd be on the 2012s....

Just looked at the 2013. I really like the new 19's better than the current 19's or new 20's. Still not a fan of the new cluster, but love how the new car looks.

Deep Impact Blue is a new color too, replacing Kona Blue. It is a bit brighter, kinda like the old Sonic Blue. I got to see a '13 SHO in this color in the sun and was :dribble:.

No, Ford stopped using the Haldex AWD system from the 2010+ model year D platform cars. All of the D cars use a form of the same JTEKT/ZF system co-developed with Ford.

I like the Deep Impact Blue, not sure if I like it more than the Kona or Sonic Blue though....guess it just depends on what light its in.

I noticed a few other things.

1st)

SHO starts at $39,200, loaded is a smidge over $46k

I was able to get a 402A with PP, sunroof, Nav and pearl paint to $47,770

2nd)

I noticed you still can't get the PP with the ACC, even though they claimed this was supposed to be resolved for the new model year.

3rd)

As part of the 402A group, you get a heated steering wheel too :sun:

Did anyone else notice the price differences for items? Nav is only $795 but the PP is now $1995 instead of $995.

Yeah but the PP includes bigger brakes now, and I think the suspension is beefed up quite a bit too. Before it was just electric power steering tweaks and better pads (IIRC). I think the 2013 can also disable traction control with the PP.

We ordered a 2013 about a month ago... can't wait until they start building them!

I hope you ordered one with the PP this time ;)

Plus the PP gets the Police cooling pkg.

Still can't figure out why they would paint the spoiler black though. I know the skull caps on the mirrors are black in the SHO, but the spoiler being all black doesn't make any sense. I need to go back and look tonight, as the other ones I have seen I thought were color matched.

Is Ford going to get away from this black body trim along the bottom? I don't quite understand the point of all of it besides to protect against rocks. At least on the SHO they should offer matching side skirts and rear diffusor as an option or put it in with the PP. They offer it with the Focus on the sport packages.

I think you nailed it. unless you have good mudflaps it is impossible to keep painted lowers from chipping.

I've noticed from what few close-ups of the door I've seen on the Internet, that the front door handles now have the "little button" on them that all cars with modern key-less entry should have.

I don't care for the 20" flower wheels. Like the 2012 20's better.
