2011 SHO "clunk sound" in rear deck when put into reverse

Every time I put into reverse from parked position I get a clunk sound from the rear deck. I am suspecting the rear curtain is the culprit. Has anyone in our forum had this problem and what is the fix?

IIRC, you have to either replace the motor, or fix the gear for the sun shade.

thanks for the info. I understand the bill for replacement or repair is $750 - $1,000 I'd like to just pull the plug and leave it down. How do I find or get to the motor electrics? Or just pull the fuse?

Don't know if there is a fuse for it, but there is a writeup for replacing the motor on another site:

The fuse linked to the sunshade is a delayed accessory relay feed, which also controls the autodimming interior mirror, roof opening panel switch, roof opening panel module, seat heater control drv & pass rear, along with the sunshade. Fuse 41 (15A) in the pass compartment fuse panel.

Mine has been doing that crap for a year. If you back into parking spaces turn the car off and then hit the button the put the shade Down and open the door when it's all the way down it'll stay down until you put it I. Reverse again. I need to unplug the damn thing
