Has anyone put a hitch on and done any towing? I'm looking at picking up a little pop-up camper but the GVR is about 2000 and I know by the book the max tow is 1000. What are your thoughts?

There's a video on the web of an SHO pulling an Airstream camper around. I think the video was presented by some RV sales business and I don't recall if it's on YouTube. There was quite a discussion about which drivetrain parts of that SHO will fail first.

I tow with mine. About 2000 lbs or so I guess. A 20ft boat and trailer. Just get the class III hitch and you should have no problems at all. Mine does it effortlessly. Oh and it made no difference at all in the running temps while I was towing.

I also saw the kit for the tranny cooler that comes on the '13 and might install that for a little extra insurance.
