Did the wagon version of the Taurus die with the fifth generation or with SUVs hopefully declining in sales with moms and dads looking for seating could we possibly be looking at a slick Ecoboost wagon in the future? I for one would hope so, the 2010 SHO is dead sexy, would be a shame not to make a sport wagon form. I was feeling strangely up to drawing something detailed tonight so I thought I'd try my hand at it. I think the back could be stretched out a bit more but you all get the idea.

I like the flex, but it's still not the Taurus, not visually. It's a Scion xB with a shot of growth hormone and testosterone, which isn't bad. But the new Taurus needs a sweet wagon for that new bodyshape.

Step 1, buy 2009 Taurus X.

Step 2, swap in Ecoboost motor!

Although the T/X is 8 inches taller than the new SHO.

It is a totally different look, but is the identical car underneath, so the Flex is the Taurus wagon (or "crossover" as Ford likes to call it) whether you like it or not and the Taurus X is already slated to end production when the new Taurus starts this summer.

Doesn't this pretty hot?: (Flex with EcoBoost @ NAIAS 2009)

Oh I know they're the same chassis, just saying the new Taurus body needs a proper wagon. It's just too nice not to :dribble:
