Whats up yall.

Name is Mark. Just picked up a CPO, 2010 SHO, with 46k miles.

Black on black. Possibly looking to put a few mods in...

Anyone drop in a Airaid MXP Intake 451-260? I keep seeing these online. Also, maybe a Magnaflo catback 15769...will see.

Of course the trim is peeled off the back. Annoying. Thought i would plasi dip the trim. Anyone do that?

Welcome to the community, and congrats on your '10 SHO! Re the peeling chrome:

Plastidip looks good or you can swap out the taillights for SEL taillights. You might be able to sand off the chrome and repaint, but not so sure.

The best and easiest performance mod is a tune from Unleashed Tuning or LMS. You'd also likely install a new TStat (cooler) and new (sp534, gapped at 0.030) plugs. Heck of a return on the money!

If you are looking for power from your intake/exhaust mods, do the downpipes and catbacks. The stock airbox flows plenty well, with aftermarket options as yet unproven in the field. Airaid, K&N etc do look great under the hood, tho.

Thanks for the info. I'm moderately into cars but I think this purchase is going to drive my focus.

The trim is out of warranty. You think the dealer will replace? And if so, does the replacement shed too?

I could tune @ LMS as they are Dtown. I am in IL. Whats a tune cost?

Since you bought the car at a Ford dealership, you MAY (don't count on it) get a concession towards a new set, but they will eventually peel as well (probably 2 years or less). Plastidip or SEL taillights will be your longerterm solution, most likely.

Not sure on the cost, you have to buy a tuner + the tune. Maybe $550-650 or so? If you can get a secondhand tuner, you could save some dough. I am sure someone from LMS will chime in soon.
