Why would you listen to a Ford press release indicating that the new SHO is "God's Gift to Humans!" Ford could have created a car worthy of the SHO nameplate, but instead, they decided to "suck" eveyone into believing that this is the next "great coming!" They (Ford) stuck this car with a non-exclusive engine, a standard auto trans (with paddle shifters that do nothing like the Chrysler "slap shift",) and no pizzass to separate it from the remainder of the current "chaft" offered as new by Detroit.

Unless the current SHO drivers tell Ford "to stick it where the sun doesn' t shine," they will continue to propagate this as what current SHO owners want. This is not I want. I want a car with a unique engine, a manual trans or an auto that subsequences to the what the driver wants, and a suspension/interior package that supports what this car should be.

You may brand me as "anti-Ford" for this, but I feel I'm pro-SHO!

Next I suppose you are going to tell me you never complained about availability of aftermarket parts or cost of "SHO exclusive" parts?????

Having EcoBoost in the SHO's camp just made owning the car cheaper long term than ANY of the previous gesn. Parts will be EVERYWEHRE! Having a unicorn is great until it breaks. Trust me with one of the first two 96 MTX's as my DD I know that well. Love the car, fear that "white elephant" parts may break leaving the car down for a long time or require a lot of coin to get replaced.

Hmm, methinks you did not read the press release. It's not Ford indicating that the SHO is "God's Gift to Humans!", it's talking about Esquire naming it their car of the year.

The new SHO may not be what you want, but you're obviously in the minority around here. Since we just got the frakking car back, how about we not start slamming for what it's not, and just appreciate it for what it is?
